my name is john attis and i am a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, originally from northampton, uk.

trained as a saxophonist, i had a hiatus from music for some time before creating the project called the rising sign.

my aim with the rising sign is no more or no less than that of any other musician: to capture moments, experiences and emotions in song as honestly and beautifully as i can.
